Sam has supported several different charities for a number of years, and is always on the look out for a challenge to undertake to not just challenge personally, but to raise awareness of a good cause and to raise as much money for the charity as possible.
This trek will take Sam away from his familiar office environment of wheely chairs, water coolers and take him to possibly the most bi-polar opposite environment of treking and camping under the stars high up in the Himalayan mountains. A lot of people when they heard Sam was doing this trek thought he was mad, Sam's view is slightly different however... "It's time to make a difference, this challenge will push me to and probably beyond my limits. I am doing this to raise vital funds for ActionAid to help in it's fight against world poverty and the devistating effect it has on millions of children, their families and communities in developing countries."
